SEC chairman Gary Gensler is expanding managers with crypto consultants-regulation

The US stock exchange supervision SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) has expanded the chairman Gary Gensler's management staff by a number of consultants. Among them is Corey Frayer, the Gensler advises on the "Politics of the SEC and the cross-agency work in relation to the supervision of crypto-assets".

The US stock exchange supervision SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) announced the appointment of Corey Frayer, Phil Havenstein, Jennifer Songer and Jorge Tenreiro in the management of Chairman Gary Gensler on Thursday. The announcement details:

Corey Frayer advises the chairman Gensler on the political design of the SEC and the cross-agency work in connection with the supervision of crypto-assets.

Before he came to the Sec, Frayer worked as a senior employee in the US Senate Committee for Banks, Housing and City Affairs for the Chairman Sherrod Brown. He also worked for a decade as a senior advisor for Rep. Maxine Waters in the House Financial Services Committee and Rep. Brad Miller from North Carolina.

Havenstein advises Gensler in matters of agency administration, operation and management. Songer advises him on matters in connection with investment companies and investment advisors, while Tenreiro advises him in matters of the division of enforcement.

The SEC has approved some Bitcoin futures Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) under Gensler. However, the Commission has not approved Spot-Bitcoin ETFs. In November, the US MP Tom Emmer and Darren Soto sent a letter to Gensler in which they asked the SEC, Allow trade from Spot-Bitcoin-ETFS.
