Kaia and Line Next: Asia's revolution with the new StableCoin app!

On October 8, 2025, Kaia and Line Next announced the introduction of Project Unify during the Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul, an innovative stable coin super app. This app aims to enable the seamless integration of payments, transfers and defi in the widespread line messenger. This step could be significant progress for the almost 200 million users of Line Messenger in Asia.

Project Unify will support the use of several Asian Fiat-Pegged stablecoins, including the USD, JPY, KRW, THB, IDR, PHP, Myr and SGD, which is expected at the time of the market launch. The company Kaia, which emerged from the merger between Lines Finschia and Kocao’s Klaytn in 2024, sees the platform as a "universal compliant", which means that it offers stable coin payments, yields, on/off-ramps and access to over 100 decentralized apps.

Regulatory compliance and developer support

An essential part of Kaia's strategy is the provision of a Unify SDK that is available to developers and issuers. This is done with the focus on regulatory compliance, especially in South Korea, a country that is known for its strict regulations in the financial sector. Kaia recently submitted brand registrations for a KRW stable coin to support the future ecosystem.

Project Unify's main areas of application extend across countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia, which offers the app a wide user basis and favors their distribution. Particularly noteworthy should be emphasized that the app enables users to make payments, achieve income and use web3 services without having to leave the messenger interface.

Partnerships and competitive strategy

Recently, Kaia has partnered with Taiwan Mobile, among others, and held a major hackathon event with Tether (USDT). These initiatives help to further anchor the app in the region. Project Unify could bridge institutional regulation and retail adoption and serve as the first mass-market, compliant stablecoin platform in Asia. Kaia is thus strategically positioning itself to compete with local fintech giants and aims to establish stablecoins as the foundation of the digital economy in Asia.

Kaia's innovative direction and the creation of Project Unify mark an important step in the development of digital finance in Asia, providing users easier access to advanced financial services while taking into account the requirements of the current regulatory landscape.
