Brazilian finance giant BTG Pactual publishes stable coin that is coupled to the US dollar (report)

The company joined the industry years ago by publishing a security token called ReitBZ and introducing a cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil.
The latest thrust
According to Reuters, the Banco BTG Pactual SA (better known as BTG Pactual) will strengthen its presence in the field of digital assets by developing a stable coin called BTG DOL.
The asset is available on mynt (the bank's cryptocurrency platform) and is linked to the official currency of the United States.
The company described the upcoming financial product as a new instrument that could "dollar" the portfolios of investors. It also promised to "provide the entire security framework for the asset, such as due diligence, money laundering and compliance processes".
Marcel Monteiro-operations manager of Mynt-praised the development and said that this will be the 23rd token that is supported by the platform, and the only one who is issued by it:
"We recently launched eight new assets. We already have 22 cryptocurrencies on the platform. Now we have our own stablecoin."
MynT enables some of the greatest cryptocurrencies after market capitalization, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (Eth), Solana (SOL), Polygon (Matic), Polkadot (DOT), Cardano (ADA) and more. It also supports the second largest stablecoin - USD Coin (USDC).
