DoubleZero launches mainnet beta: revolution in blockchain communication!

DoubleZero, an innovative blockchain platform specializing in communications in high-performance distributed systems, is about to launch its mainnet beta. This is scheduled to be implemented during October 2025. Crypto News reports that the mainnet beta will include the second phase of the delegated staking program, which follows the successful first phase that launched in July with 3 million SOL staked.

The upcoming launch follows an incident on the testnet that occurred on September 2, 2025, when Solana (SOL) validators lost communication with non-validator nodes following a software update. Despite this issue, affected validators were still able to communicate over the public internet, highlighting the resilience of the network.

Delegated Stake Program and Decentralization

The first phase of the delegation model, which began in July, included a stake pool of 3 million SOL, designed to promote the growth and attractiveness of validators within the Solana ecosystem. The launch of the dzSOL stake pool is an important step towards broader decentralization to be achieved before the mainnet beta. DoubleZero co-founder Austin Federa highlights the importance of geographic decentralization to ensure global market access and fairness in distributed systems.

Phase two of the program will launch this fall and will specifically focus on supporting validators located in geographically underrepresented regions. This should not only help strengthen the network, but also encourage participation and collaboration within the community.

Financing and token usage

The 2Z token associated with the platform plays a central role in ensuring the efficiency and security of the network. The platform also closed an impressive $28 million funding round in March 2025 led by Multicoin Capital and Dragonfly. These financial resources will be used to further advance the development and growth of the platform.

With the upcoming mainnet beta and related initiatives, DoubleZero is positioning itself as a critical player in the blockchain technology space, effectively addressing the challenges and opportunities in distributed systems.
