Rapid increase: 21,000 new XRP wallets within 48 hours!
Within the last 48 hours, the XRP Ledger has seen a notable increase in new wallets. Analytics service Santiment reported that 21,595 new XRP wallets were created. This represents the highest growth of the XRP ledger in the last eight months. The surge in wallets is accompanied by an also significant increase in the XRP price, which has increased by 14% in the last 24 hours.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently commented on the terminology surrounding XRP and XRPL. In a social media post, he explained that it is correct to say something is running on the XRPL because it is the Ledger network. However, some users find the phrase “on XRP” to sound more appealing, even if this is not entirely technically correct. Garlinghouse reiterated that XRP is “at the center” of all Ripple’s activities and therefore plays a central role in the ecosystem.
