US senator suggests congress to introduce cryptocurrency for payments-regulation
US senator Ted Cruz has brought in a resolution that would enable congress to be leading in the field of cryptocurrency by accepting crypto payments. "As a rule, the congress only takes on new technologies," he said.
Senator urges crypto adoption in the congress
US Senator Ted Cruz on Monday in the Senate, a resolution entitled "Adopting Cryptocurrency in Congress AS A Exchange of Payment for Transactions Resolution", also called "Accept Resolution".
The resolution suggests that cryptocurrency in “restaurants, vending machines and souvenir shops in the Capitol Complex” is accepted. According to the text:
The architect of the Capitol, the secretary of the Senate and the main administrative officer of the House of Representatives should ... with people who accept digital assets as payment, incorporate contracts on the provision of gastronomy and sales machines in such capital buildings for goods.
You should also "encourage the souvenir shops in such capitol buildings to accept digital assets as payment methods for goods," the resolution says.
cruz says Breitbart News Montag that the congress in the area of cryptocurrencies can be leading by introducing them as a means of payment and increasing the awareness of crypto in congress.
"Since consumers understand and accept cryptocurrencies better, retailers are increasingly accepting crypto as a payment method. The congress usually only takes new technologies slowly," said the Senator from Texas of publication and added:
My draft law would enable the congress to be the leading on this question by accepting congress canteens, vending machines and souvenir shops.
