Next week, on November 18, the DJ Steve Aoki and the comic book artist Todd McFarlane will open an NFT marketplace, "which offers creators the opportunity to present and sell authenticated digital art". The introductory announcement sent to Bitcoin.com News explains that the new NFT marketplace ODD Key will be called and one of the first drops on the McFarlanes platform will be notorious "Spawn #1" from 1992.

This year McFarlane helped when founding the Image Comics company and the first edition of Spawn from the Canadian comic manufacturer, almost 500,000 times were sold worldwide. "Spawn #1" is one of the largest monthly title publications by Image Comics for 25 years.

"This is the first time in 30 years that Todd McFarlane has been for sale, digitally or otherwise, authorized or authenticated, and the first time that Spawn-original art is made accessible to the public", explains explanations sent to Bitcoin.com.

In addition, various areas of the marketplace will go live after the first start and the market will have an area for artists presented and an area for lesser -known artists named "Artist Alley". The announcement of the partnership between McFarlane and Aoki explains that the ODD key market is based on the "same mentality" that McFarlane has established with image comics.

"I wanted to create a world freely created in the creator," McFarlane noticed about the creation of Odd Key. "[A Place] where Creator could control their creative and financial freedom as I could," added the comic artist.

odd Key Marketplace aims to use the Solana blockchain and the Metablex protocol

Steve Aoki has been dealing with non-fungible tokens (NFT) Assets for some time and the producer and DJ sold his first NFT collection with Antoni Tudisco for $ 4.25 million on the NITFY GATEway platform. The announcement explains that Aoki has strong roots as an independent creator, similar to McFarlane, and founded its indie record label Dim Mak Records in 1996.

"I think Todd and I both see a little bit of ourselves," said Aoki in an explanation. "We are both outsiders who somehow made it in a world of insiders. In realizing that NFTS could enable young creative people to go to discoveries and financial freedom, we wanted to offer a platform that helps them reach their audience."

The project also found that the ODD Key-Storefront will use the Solana Blockchain network and the decentralized protocol marketplace from Metablex. NFTS, which have been shaped over the Metablex protocol, are saved on Arweave, a network that describes the creators as "permanent hard drive based on two new technologies". The native tokens for the Solana (Sol) and Arweave (AR) blockchain networks recorded significant growth in 2021.
