Five selected companies will be the first to acquire Bitmain's new machines
According to the announcement, the machines will be available to the public in July 2022. However, it seems that five Bitcoin mining companies were selected as the first S19 XP customers from Bitmain. Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. ( NASDAQ: Gree ) was one of the companies and AULT global Holdings' ( nyse American: dpw ) daughter Bitnile was also to work with BitMain. Bitnile announced that the new delivery of Antminer S19 XPS is used in the company's data center in Michigan and "leads to a significant increase in the Bitcoin mining capabilities and future income from Bitnile". The announcement from Greenidge says that the company intends to "develop its units in a facility in South Carolina or Texas". Greenidge also explained that the delivery of S19 XPS will take place in the “third quarter of 2022”.
The Antminer S19 XP from Bitmain will also have 5 nanometers (5-nm) chip technology, and the semiconductor come from Taiwan. In the announcement of the takeover of Greenidge S19 XP, Bitmain Business Development Director of the NCSA region, Irene Gao, discussed the new S19S. "Like Greenidge and many of our customers, Bitmain is dedicated to improving the CO2 record of the Bitcoin mining industry. That is why we are happy to be able to announce not only the S19 XP, but also the green Antminer S19 XP." Gao Castle:
BitMain produces a green Antminer S19 XP in limited edition and compensates for 100 % of the CO2 footprint, which is connected to the production and operation of these miners in the first year by buying CO2 compensation credits.
