  • fractal currently employs around 17 full -time employees

fractal, a gaming NFT marketplace founded by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, announced a seed round worth $ 35 million on Friday.

The new salary increase, Kan told Blockworks, will flow into the recruitment, especially in the establishment of a team of partnership and the setting of attitudes that are "technical and product -heavy".

Kan has not yet announced the assessment of the startup. Fractal employs around 17 full -time employees, but has no precise personnel plan until the end of the year.

"Measuring your company at the number of employees is like measuring your aircraft from its weight," said Kan.

"The main priority is to develop great products for the game partners and then help them with the introduction of their games. We see it that we will be successful when we make our partners successful."

fractal is a Solana-based marketplace where players can buy and sell in-game assets or NFTS (non-fungable tokens).

"I thought that what would work in NFTS are games because there is already a culture of buying digital assets and digital goods, right?" Can said. "There are people who buy skins and objects in the game that are worth several $ 10 billion on the blockchain as the next development was very obvious for me."

The startup, according to Kan, "helps gaming companies to drop these assets and with their players a market to create these assets."
