Ethereum developers start testing and error identification with the completion of the Shanghai upgrade Shadow Fork-

According to software engineer Marius van der Wijden,

Ethereum developers started the completion of the Shanghai upgrade "Shadow Fork". The "Shadow Fork" will serve as a test environment for the Shanghai upgrade and enable developers to identify mistakes and potential problems.

The Shanghai upgrade "Shadow Fork" from Ethereum is started

While the cryptocurrency community is waiting for the upcoming Hard Fork in Shanghai, the core developers of Ethereum have started a test environment called "Shadow Fork" to test the upgrade. This is followed by the developers The start of a new test network for the Shanghai upgrade on January 11th 2023. The fork, which will concentrate on enabling payments with use, is expected March 2023.

According to Marius van der Wijden, a software developer of the Ethereum Foundation, there were some problems with the "Shadow Fork", which started on Monday morning around 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time. "It started with a few problems because the configuration on Geth was not applied correctly (we forbid the overwriting of the Mainnet configuration)", van der Wijden wrote on Twitter. The developer added :

At the moment the chain closes correctly, let's see if Potuz and I can break it.

The cryptocurrency community was concerned about the withdrawal of the Beacon chain, since there is stored in it in it target = "_ blank" href = "https://etherscan.io/address/0x00000000219AB540356CBB839CBE05303D7705FA" Rel = "noopener"> Validator contract This is currently closed. Only a hard fork can release the funds used, and the Shanghai upgrade should pave the way to this goal. Statistics from Beaconscan.com show that there are 504,765 examiners, since the number of examiners has exceeded the 500,000 zone this year.

Since then, about 130 days have passed Ethereum from a proof-of-work (Pow) blockchain to a proof-of-stake (POS) network. The Shanghai upgrade will be the next big hard fork after The Merge. In addition to the possibility of enabling Beacon chain withdrawals, the developers are looking for ways to also reduce the gas costs for the withdrawals. The public test network for the Shanghai upgrade should start in the near future and give the general public the opportunity to test the functions of the new software.

What do you think about the use of a "shadow fork" by the Ethereum developers for testing and error identification before the Shanghai upgrade? How will the upgrade in your opinion affect the Ethereum community and the Locked Staked Fund? Share your thoughts in the comment area below.
