Plume brings Nightfall: Revolutionary Blockchain for Secure Transactions!
Plume, a permissionless full-stack blockchain for real-world asset financing, has announced the launch of Nightfall, a public blockchain technology. Nightfall aims to facilitate the implementation of privacy-focused enterprise solutions among institutions. Plume is supported by Ernst & Young (EY) to deploy Nightfall on the Plume network.
The Nightfall integration responds to the growing demand for secure and compliant data protection infrastructure in the real-world asset tokenization (RWA) space. Nightfall enables businesses to conduct private transactions on Ethereum-compatible blockchains while maintaining transparency, data immutability and security. This technology has been developed since 2017 and uses the latest version, Nightfall_4 (NF_4), which is based on Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology.
Technological advances and compliance
Nachtfall supports private transfers of multiple token standards including ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155 and ERC3525. Transactions are rolled up using a ZK-ZK rollup, ensuring both privacy and scalability. Additionally, Nightfall includes decentralized approval and KYC gating features that are important to businesses and regulators.
To ensure compliance, Plume follows a sequencer-level AML policy that ensures compliant, private transaction flows in the institutional markets. Plume is actively involved in onboarding institutions to tokenize real-world assets and is committed to working with regulators in the APAC region and the US on RWA legislation.
