Rekt Brands Inc. recently reached a significant milestone by selling over one million beverages, primarily through its own website. This success was achieved in less than a year and raises questions about whether crypto communities can actually support large, tangible product companies. The high sales figures illustrate how Web3 communities can drive growth in real-world consumption, which is important for the industry. Rekt Brands has proven that it is possible to thrive in a cryptocurrency-influenced world.

On September 19, a press release announced that it had reached the seven-figure sales mark, with most transactions taking place via Rekt's e-commerce platform. Rekt received particular attention through the sale of the limited edition drink “Moon Crush”, which was developed in collaboration with MoonPay. This partnership played a critical role in increasing the company's cultural reach.

An innovative business model

Rekt Brands benefits from a direct sales approach that allows the company to capture almost all revenue as well as customer data without relying on traditional retail intermediaries. This model highlights Web3's growing influence in areas previously considered inaccessible to crypto strategies. Ovie Faruq, co-founder and CEO of Rekt Brands, highlights that the company is building a cultural brand that operates at the intersection of Web2 and Web3.

The company's partnerships with major industry players such as MoonPay, Coinbase's Layer 2 Base, OpenSea and the Jupiter Exchange have significantly supported sales figures. Each collaboration, such as the “Moon Crush” drop with MoonPay, was staged as a cultural event that drove traffic and sales directly to Rekt’s digital business. A partnership with GameSquare was also recently announced, which includes the integration of the REKT token into the esports giant's portfolio and creates a connection to the well-known FaZe Clan brand.

REKT token and market capitalization

The REKT token, issued in late 2024, subsequently rewarded previous backers and reached a significant market capitalization of $600 million by August 2025. This development reflects not only the acceptance of the token within the community, but also the potential of crypto strategies to promote growth in the consumer goods industry. Rekt Brands' business model is therefore an interesting example of the future role of crypto in traditional markets.
