Phishing fraudsters strike again and falsify the Ethereum Denver website

The cryptocurrency industry has long been a goal of phishing attacks, and it seems that Hacker find new and clever ways to cheat on their victims.

This time it was the website of an expected event that was fully fake to trick the victims out of their crypto.

  • The ETH Denver is advertised as the largest and longest-running ETH event in the world. This year it takes place between February 24th and March 5th.
  • conferences are usually of interest to many people, and many of them are newcomers who are not yet familiar with the dangers of the industry.
  • Hacker have recently tried to take advantage of this and create a completely new fake website that resembles the official website of ETH Denver.
  • The threat was discovered by the crypto security company Blockfence.

  • also warned the official Twitter account of the ETH Denver of the fake website.
  • phishing is not a small threat. Even if newcomers and people without sufficient experience in key management are usually the easier goals, this does not mean that experts are safe.
