Paxos in conversations with Sec about Binance StableCoin: Report
According to a report by Reuters, the large blockchain infrastructure platform Paxos Trust Company has discussions with the US I stock exchange supervisory authority Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) about the Binance Stablecoin Busd.
The company previously received a communication by the New York authorities to cope with the character of Busd.
- According to Reuters on Tuesday (February 21, 2022), Charles Cascarilla, CEO of Paxos, sent an email to the company's employees on February 18, where he informed you that the company has "constructive conversations" with the sec.
- At the beginning of February, Paxos received a communication from Wells from the American supervisory authority, in which the company was claimed that the company sells not registered securities, which indicates that Binance's Busd was a securities.
- Cascarilla said that Paxos wanted to continue his conversations with the Securities and Exchange Commission privately, and added that the company was ready to defend its attitude that Busd was not a securities if necessary.
- The New York Finance Ministry (NYDFS) also indicated Paxos to set the issue of Stablecoin Binance from February 21, with the blockchain platform explained that it would support Busd by 2024.
- It is worth noting that the US value paper supervision was hunting for various cryptocurrency services, which she believes could be not registered securities. This was the case with the staking services of octopuses that the veteran exchange had to stop at the beginning of this year.
- There are rumors that the next destination of the SEC Coinbase could be because it offers similar staking services. However, the company's managers consisted several times that this was not the case.
