Ethereum and Cardano have the highest developer activity in 2022: Dappradar
Ethereum and Cardano have always been in a dispute. The development activities of the two blockchain networks were played against each other before the former to Proof-of-Stake (POS). Unnecessary to say that Ethereum and Cardano became the Blockchains with the most active developers in 2022, with 223 and 151 average daily developers in the course of the year.
According to the latest report by Dappradar, Ethereum recorded the slightest decline of 9.37 % among active developers and was able to maintain its dominance. The number of developers of Cardano decreased by 26.47 % compared to the previous year.
- Developer activity shows health and growth of the blockchain. As explained by Dappradar, the metric gives an insight into the interest and commitment of developers, which is crucial "for the development of new functions, increased security, network effects, innovation and thus acceptance".
- In addition to the established players, three modular blockchains, namely Polkadot, Kusama and Cosmos, completed the top 5.
- Developer activity in Polkadot and Kusama rose by 16.06% and 12.80% and attracted an average of 129 active developers every day. Cosmos, on the other hand, recorded an average of 117 daily developers. In the meantime,
- Solana and Internet Computer (ICP) recorded the greatest increase in active developers in 2022. Since the previous year, the two blockchain networks have risen by 1,320 % or 1,050 %.
- The report also found that Solana looks promising, although it is most affected by the FTX-induced drawdown.
- The average number of daily active developers in the blockchain has recorded a decline of 31.4 % in the last 30 days and continued to attract an average of 69 active developers.
