One of four companies surveyed plans to accept cryptocurrency payments this year - featured

The payment giant Visa has carried out a survey among small companies and found that almost a quarter of the respondents are planning to accept cryptocurrency payments this year. "I think more people feel safer with crypto," said a visa manager.

Small companies in 9 countries plan to accept cryptocurrencies this year

VISA published a study on digital payments on Wednesday. It was carried out by Wakefield Research in December 2021 and included a survey of 2,250 small business owners with 100 employees or less in Brazil, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Russia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the USA

VISA described that a way forward for small and small companies (SME) in 2022 includes "Long on digital payments - even crypto". The payment giant explained:

24 % of those surveyed stated that they wanted to accept digital currencies such as cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

The company explained: "Overwhelming 82 % of the SMEs surveyed stated that they plan to accept some form of digital options in 2022, and 73 % see the acceptance of new forms of payment as fundamental to their business growth."

Jeni Mundy, Global Head of Merchant Sales and Acquiring at Visa, was quoted with the words:

I think more people feel safer with crypto.
