The Montenegrin basic court approved do Kwon's application for a deposit of $ 430,000
An application by do Kwon, the co-founder of Terraforms Labs and the collapsed Terra-Luna ecosystem, at release against a deposit of $ 430,000, was approved by the basic court of Podgorica.
The new development takes place less than two weeks after a senior court in Podgorica has granted the appeal of the public prosecutor against the decision of the heir to leave Kwon, since the legal proceedings are still going on due to its allegations of documents.
Kwon's deposit application approved again
According to an official statement by the Podgorica basic court, all reasons for the cancellation of the original judgment were taken into account in the new decision. Kwon and Han Chong-Joon, his employee, are released for a deposit of $ 430,000 each and captured in an apartment where they are monitored by the police.
The basic court issued the first judgment in mid -May, after the defenders had offered Kwon to relieve the co -founder and his employee from custody and record it at a given address to regularly attend the court during the negotiations.
The prosecutors rejected the proposal because Kwon and Joon had no concrete reason to stay in Montenegro until the next hearing that was scheduled for June 16. They finally made an appeal against the decision at the Supreme Court of Justice where it was canceled. Kwon and Joon should remain in prison until the court proceedings were completed.
"In this decision, the court took into account the evidence submitted by its defenders about the financial situation of the accused, the severity of the crime, which the accused are sufficiently suspected, their personal and family circumstances as well as ..." "The financial situation of the persons who put the bail and the opinion of the public prosecutor," said the basic court.
kwon is waiting for delivery
While Kwon and his employee are under house arrest, the court intends to check the authenticity of travel documents and personnel cards that were found in their possession when arresting at Podgoric Airport.
KWON not guilty because he was accused that the documents had been fake. The international refugee was on the run months before he was arrested and was caught fleeing to Dubai with a private jet. In the event of a guilty verdict, he threatens a maximum penalty of five years in prison together with Joon.
The Montenegrin authorities have declared that Kwon must complete a criminal proceedings in the country before it is delivered to the USA or South Korea in order to be put on trial because of the collapse of the Terra ecosystem.
