  • "This signals that brands are careful [to the metavers,] that means that they claim their claim in a similar way as people sit on domain names," Jenna Pilgrim, a blockchain startup manager, told Blockworks
  • CVS mentioned NFTS and blockchain technology in his application

CVS was enough brand acceptance To sell "downloadable virtual goods" in meta -severse to establish the resulting virtual space.

The health company conducted prescription drugs, beauty and personal care products as well as "crypto collectors" such as NFTS.

The application, which was submitted in the entertainment and entertainment category on February 28, was only published on Friday.

Noah Gaynor, co-founder of the NFT (non-fungable token) real estate startup parcel, told Block works that the application signaled that more companies "try to put their flag on the virtual soil" of the meta pattern.

"I would say that it is a further confirmation that all consumer brands, regardless of the industry, consider metavers as a new border to reach customers-through digital goods and services-and therefore develop a meta-sance strategy," said Gaynor.

CVS follows well-known retailers such as Nike and Walmart when registering metaverse-related brands. The sneaker company submitted seven patent and brand applications for virtual goods last year- including clothing, sports bags, art and accessories.

Jenna Pilgrim, CEO of the blockchain startup Rite Network, told Blockworks that the influx of applications was a "positive signal for the market".

"This [Shows] that brands are aware of, which means that they claim their claim in a similar way as people sit on domain names. This seems to me to be a form of legitimacy for meta-verse applications," said Pilgrim.

"Obviously, these applications have to go much further to protect real assets that they would build in the meta personum, but it's a nice first step."

CVS did not react immediately to the request from Blockworks after a comment.
