Lloyd Blankfein, Executive by Goldman Sachs, says that crypto "happens"

lloyd Blankfein, a former CEO of Goldman Sachs, who has been skeptical about cryptocurrency in the past, said this week in an interview with CNBC that his view of crypto "developed".

Blankfein was chairman and Chief Executive Officer from Goldman Sachs from 2006 to September 2018 and remained chairman until December 2018. He is now Senior Chairman of the Goldman Sachs Group.

He was asked whether his view of cryptocurrency has changed in view of the current market conditions and traditional banks, including Goldman Sachs, that begin to offer cryptodes such as trade and custody.

The Goldman Manager replied:

see my view develops further ... I cannot predict the future, but I think it is a big deal to predict the present, how 'what happens?' And I look at the crypto and it happens.

"As an intellectual matter, I can't think about it otherwise," insisted Blankfein. However, he made it clear: "As a pragmatist and someone who is not only skeptical of the market, but also my own views, I try to come on board and admit that I don't know everything. Strange things, things that I think is strange."

The former CEO of Goldman Sachs commented on the cryptom market as follows: "He lost a lot of value, but at some point it contributed trillions of dollars to value, and entire ecosystems grow around it. And of course we have the advantages of immediate transfers and reducing credit risk as well as all the advantages of blockchain."

Blankfein Castle:

I may be skeptical, but I'm also pragmatic. And advise you, I would surely want to have a rudder in this water.

In January last year, Blankfein warned that the supervisory authorities were after the cryptos sector. "If I were a supervisory authority, I would somehow hyperventilate in view of the success at the moment", he said .
