Bitcoin ETF suggestions: A signal for increasing acceptance of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin
Bitcoin ETF suggestions indicate a broader introduction of cryptocurrencies
The CEO of Galaxy, Mike Novogratz, is of the opinion that the latest Spot-Bitcoin ETF suggestions could indicate a broader introduction of cryptocurrencies. In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Novogratz said that the proposed ETFs from Blackrock, Investco and other providers were a sign of the upcoming introduction of cryptocurrencies. In particular, he emphasized that the CEO of Blackrock, Larry Fink, works with large capital pools around the world, which makes the Bitcoin ETF a first accessible entry point for investors who are concerned about the safe custody of cryptocurrencies.
Novogramm also emphasized that the approval of a Bitcoin ETF by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US government would be official recognition of the financial value. This could strengthen trust in cryptocurrencies and attract other institutional investors.
Despite the positive effects of the ETF submissions, Novogratz believes that Bitcoin is still as a macro asset at an early stage. For example, he referred to Larry Fink, who describes Bitcoin as the digital gold of this generation and considers it to be a value -plot. This makes it clear that the broad acceptance of Bitcoin is still in the beginning.
On June 15, Blackrock, one of the world's largest asset managers under the direction of CEO Larry Fink, requested the approval of the SEC for a spot bitcoin ETF. This application underlines the growing interest of large institutional actors in cryptocurrencies and shows that the industry is slowly but surely entering the mainstream.
It remains to be seen whether the recent ETF suggestions are actually approved and what influence this will have on the broader introduction of cryptocurrencies. Nevertheless, these developments indicate that the crypto industry develops and more people could gain access to digital assets.
