Binance was given a license for virtual assets by the Dubai supervisory authority, since the crypto exchange in the United Arab Emirates (VAE) wants to further expand.
Under the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (Vara), Binance may offer pre -qualified investors and professional financial service providers restricted stock exchange products and services, the company announced on Wednesday.
Vara will monitor its licensed service providers to determine whether they can open up to the retail market.
Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO of Binance, called Dubai a "progressive regime" that aims at uncompromising governance and market security.
"The cooperative way in which Binance was committed to bring in the proven industry-leading experience in relation to compliance in the Dubai ecosystem is an indication of the unique operating model that the Vara creates for the global industry," he said in a explanation.
The company is putting engineers and positions in the areas of sales, compliance, human resources and talenta pancial in the VAE, as can be seen from job advertisements on the Binance website.
