The CEO of Blueprint Capital Advisors, Jacob Walthour, says it is a mistake to ignore crypto as an asset class. He also predicts that crypto will surpass shares in the foreseeable future.

Jacob Walthour, CEO and co-founder of Blueprint Capital Advisors, discussed his prospects for the crypto and stock markets in an interview with CNBC on Wednesday. Walthour has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of capital markets, traditional and alternative asset management.

"In this phase we have to think about how it all started," he started. "When we think back in the course of our lives, we started buying things with cash, and then someone came up with the idea of using a check, and then someone came up with the idea of using plastic, and then someone came up with the idea of e-playments. And I think that the use of crypto, the entire concept of a wallet is the starting point. And I think that is a good overall for the acceptance rate in relation to the acceptance rate in the course of the next five to ten years. ”

He emphasized that many companies have now accepted cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, and said:

I think it would be a mistake to ignore this asset class, which has looked like the Wild West in the past five years.

he added: "But if we see a standstill on the US stock market and an increase in cryptocurrency, herd mentality could gain the upper hand here and you could see how much liquidity falls from stocks in cryptocurrencies."

Walthour said: "If Krypto exceeds the shares, in my opinion it legitimizes Krypto as an investment class from the point of view of diversification."

he admitted that cryptocurrencies could continue to fall due to the higher volatility when selling shares, but said: "I don't think this would definitely last for the foreseeable future." He closed:

In view of the fact that crypto is fairly sold out in the last quarter, I predict for the foreseeable future that it has a strong chance to exceed shares in 2022.
