Aave starts alternative to traditional social media

The software development company AAVE has started its social web3 platform supported by NFTS, which is intended to represent an alternative to conventional social media platforms.
The open source tech stack called Lens Protocol enables developers to create web3-based social media apps, marketplaces and recommendation algae.
social media have remained relatively unchanged in the past ten years, which is partly due to the fact that user contents belong to a company, said Aave CEO Stani Kulechov in an explanation.
"But ultimately, as can be seen from Elon Musk's offer to buy Twitter, people are ready for a better experience than what they are used to," he added.
"The ownership of not only the content that you create online, but also on your profile and your social network, is long overdue, and strengthening the user is the goal of Lens."
The protocol enables the followers, the community and the content of each user to link each user with its NFT profile (non-fungable token)-and can be ported in any app operated by LENS.
Signator of the Open letter from lens can be able to shape their profile in order to start interaction with the first protocol -based apps on Polygon on Wednesday. So far, around 50 applications have been developed on LENS, from social apps to monetarization tools for creators.
lens Protocol created his Twitter account in January and Aave explained the functions of the protocol the following month. Kulechov had indicated an offer last year that decentralized the social media.
In a tweet of February 5, the CEO predicted that web3-native social media would "kill" Twitter.
