Binance and BlackRock: Blockchain revolution for institutional investors!

On November 14, 2025, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, made a groundbreaking decision: it announced a collaboration with Securitize, a platform for tokenized real-world assets. This collaboration aims to expand access to BlackRock's tokenized fund, known as the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), to institutional traders.

BUIDL is accepted as an off-exchange collateral asset and implemented on the BNB Chain network. This increases the adoption of real-world assets onchain, opening up new opportunities for institutional traders to utilize capital. The announcement of the integration of BUIDL into the collateral offering took place today.

Growing importance of tokenization

The tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs) is a growing trend that now includes funds, treasuries, commodities and private credit. Catherine Chen, Head of VIP & Institutional at Binance, highlighted the increasing demand for interest-bearing stable assets as collateral. This shows that the market is increasingly looking for innovative solutions to use capital more efficiently.

BUIDL, a tokenized treasury fund, was launched in 2024 and is now valued at over $2.5 billion. The fund gives qualified investors access to US dollar income with daily dividend payments and is now made available as a share class not only on the BNB Chain, but also on networks such as Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Aptos and Avalanche.

Expanding opportunities for institutional traders

By supporting BUIDL as off-exchange collateral, institutional traders benefit from new financial design options. The integration into the Binance ecosystem and the partnership with Securitize opens new horizons in the field of tokenized financial products and serves the growing need for diversification in the portfolios of institutional investors.

Binance's integration move is a clear step towards increased digitalization of the financial market, in which tokenized assets will play an increasingly important role. The focus on interest-bearing investments also shows that institutions are increasingly looking for stable sources of income.

The developments surrounding Binance and BlackRock set new standards in the area of crypto and financial services and could significantly change the paradigm of capital raising and collateral use.
