Miss El Salvador presents Bitcoin in Miss Universe 2023

This year's Miss Universe candidate from El Salvador surprised the audience by presenting Bitcoin as part of her national costume. El Salvador introduced the cryptocurrency as a legal means of payment and adopted a new regulatory framework for the issue of its long-awaited Bitcoin-supported Volcano bonds.

The Miss Universe 2023 candidate from El Salvador, Alejandra Guajardo, surprised the spectators on Wednesday evening with her choice of costume. Guajardo entered the stage of the 71st Miss Universe National Costume Show in a costume that is "the development of the Salvadorian currency", as the official Instagram account of Miss Universe El Salvador described, and added that the outfit was designed by Francisco Guerrero.
