Microsoft offers Mesh, a corporate metaverse for teams -

Microsoft has announced the introduction of a meta-verse-inspired function for his team app called Mesh. Mesh will enable users to introduce personalized avatars into digital worlds and make meetings more and more. The platform is announced after the swivel from Facebook to a meta-severse-oriented company and changes its name in "Meta".

Microsoft hugs the metaverse

Software giant Microsoft has publish. With mesh, users feel better immersed in meetings, since the app Avatare - digital representations of the user - introduces users for applications such as team calls. In addition, the avatars can meet and welcome themselves in an immersive, digital world.

This new function will be available for users with smartphones, laptops or even holographic devices. According to Jeff Teper, a Microsoft Corporate Vice President, Mesh offers one way:

signal that we are in the same virtual space, we are a team, we are a group, and help to get the formalities in a nutshell and get the commitment to the point. We have seen that these tools have both achieved the goal of helping a team to be more effective and help the individual to be more involved.

Play catch-up

Although the function has been in development for some time, Microsoft's step feels that it follows the latest Facebook name change in Meta directly. The corporate and social world begins to appreciate this type of services and to offer them as part of a new conception of social contacts and work according to the Covid 19 pandemic.

however, Metaverse suggestions are not new, And many blockchain projects already present similar self-contained worlds. One of them is a relatively obscure blockchain project called Decentraland, which started in the boom in the 2017 ICO season. The project founded by Ariel and Esteban Ordano established a virtual world in which land can be bought by individuals and to set up companies, virtual stands or other useful digital representations.

The sandpit is another project. In possession of Animoca Brands (who recently received) Financing by Ubisoft , a leading game development company), the project also includes virtual country and assets. These assets can be created and monetized by the user, since objects are automatically converted into NFTS, whereby the concept of true property is introduced in the digital world.
