META trials NFFT function for Instagram manufacturers and collectors

- Selected Instagram users and influencers in the USA will test the NFT sharing function
- Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, revealed for the first time in March with South by Southwest that the company was working on bringing NFTs on Instagram
A limited number of users in the USA can now share digital collectors and NFTs via Instagram, revealed Adam Mosseri, head of the social media platform, in a video posted on Monday. First of all, only NFTS (not fungible tokens) that are shaped on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains can be shared in Instagram feeds, stories and via direct messages.
MOSSERI said that this new function was an opportunity to "support creators to make a living with what they love", and at the same time "make web3 technologies accessible to a much wider range of people". He added that the company intended to learn from the community in order to "accept these principles of distributed trust and distributed power", which are central to Web3.

He also specified that the post or parts of an NFT have no fees, compared to Twitter, which only allowed Twitter Blue subscribers in the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand to set their NFTs as their profile images (PFP). for a fee of $ 2.99 per month.
As can be seen in the video, NFTS contained on Instagram contains a “digital collectible” day that contains a description of the digital asset and details about the artist and the owner.
The first NFT collections included in the study are those of Boss Beauties, the actor Jayden Smith and the chairman of Vaynerx Gary Vaynerchuck. according to techcrunch .
Similar functions will soon be activated on Facebook and other meta apps, CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed in a Facebook post. Meta recently announced to calculate and calculate on every sold article in its new Meta Quest App Store NFTS as part of his virtual reality platform Horizon Worlds.
While Zuckerberg in March in a virtual appearance at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, the news forecast that Instagram NFTS would support "in the near future", he indicated that users could soon shape their own NFTs. But for the time being, the NFT support is limited to the share on Instagram.
