Layer-2-scaling solution Arbitrum turns Ethereum around in daily transactions
arbitrum was already a leader in the Layer 2 roll-up. However, the daily transactions on the protocol reached 1.14 million on February 21 and thus exceeded the Ethereum Minnet, which recorded 1.05 million
According to the on-chain data of Dune Analytics, this is a new record high for the scaling solution.
Since the beginning of the year, the daily transactions on the blockchain have been in an upward trend and have increased by over 273 % in less than two months. In comparison, the same metric in the Ethereum-Minnet in the range of 719,920 to 1.13 million was consistent.
for the first time processed arbitrum one more transactions than Ethereum.
We are witnesses of the story while the Rollup-Center Roadmap becomes a reality of Ethereum.
Congratulations, Arbinauten. You did that 💙🧡

rollups the focus
The Layer-2 landscape has changed enormously since last year when Ethereum transaction fees extinguished due to the increased user demand. In response to this, rollups are viewed as a convincing solution for the growing accessibility problem of the chain.
These are separate blockchains that put together a number of transactions and convert them into individual data and transmit them to the Ethereum-Minnet, which relieves the latter.
arbitrum, for example, has recently developed into a roll-up favorite due to its low transaction fees. In addition, the clear addresses of the protocol rose significantly and reached an all -time high with 2.95 million. In the past two months alone, Arbitrum has added over 110,000 addresses.
The growing dominance of arbitrum
arbitrum, Optimism, ZKSync and Starknet are four popular Layer 2, which experienced increasing acceptance in 2022. The first two, on the other hand, fought most of the year for supremacy. Both rollups were preferred because projects are easy to port. Several prominent centralized crypto exchanges have also integrated Arbitrum and Optimism.
But the former managed to top the place. In fact, data from the TVL aggregator Defillama further showed that the Arbitrum TVL rose by more than 82 % of $ 1.02 billion on January 1 to $ 1.86 billion at the time of printing. This increase in the TVL had a significant impact on the total income of the Layer 2 platforms, since the data indicated that the total number of arbitrum has increased by 83 % in the past 30 days.
The projects that are currently dominating on Arbitrum are - GMX, Zyberswap, Uniswap V3, Sushi, Solidlizard.
