Interpol finds out how the meta -verse is monitored - meta -verse
The International Criminal Police Organization Interpol is working on how to monitor the meta persona, a digital world that is projected as an alternative to the real world. Interpol general secretary Jürgen Stock believes that the organization must be ready for this task in order not to be left behind by the meta verse and the associated technology.
Interpol is prepared for monitoring the meta-verse before
police organizations face difficulties in accepting certain guidelines for the enforcement of the law in meta -verse. Jürgen Stock, the general secretary of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol, believes that the organization has to be ready to act against crimes that happen in the digital world.
The organization is currently preparing to bring their action for metaverse platforms that are already used by some groups to commit crimes. In an interview with the BBC, Stock specified :
Criminals are clever and professional in adapting very quickly to every new technological tool that is available for inspection of crimes. We have to react sufficiently to that. Sometimes legislators, police and our society are lagging behind.
These crimes currently happen in the meta personation include verbal harassment, attacks and others, including ransomware, falsification, money laundering and financial fraud. However, some of them are still in legal gray areas.
crimes in the metaverse
According to Dr. Madan Oberoi, Interpol's executive director of technology and innovation, is one of the biggest problems with which the organization is currently confronted with determining whether an action is a crime in the meta verse or not. He recognized that there are still difficulties in this regard and explained:
If you look at the definitions of these crimes in physical space and try to apply them to the meta -verses, there is a difficulty. We do not know whether we can call them a crime or not, but these threats are definitely there, so these problems still have to be solved.
for Oberoi it is clear: In order to monitor the meta-verses, Interpol must be in contact and be present on meta-verse platforms. For this reason, the organization already has its own place in the meta-verse, which was inaugurated during its 90th general assembly in Neu-delhi in October.
The Interpol MetaVersum platform also serves another goal by making it possible to offer relatives of the armed forces in other countries online courses and enable them to practice the acquired skills directly in the meta pub.
