The HBAR Foundation has launched its Crypto Economy Fund of $ 155 million in order to advance the defect development in the Hedera Hashgraph network.

According to an explanation on Tuesday, the fund focuses on improving access in and within the network and at the same time promoting the growth of the HBAR economy.

The foundation is responsible for the development of the Hedera ecosystem by providing grants and other resources. It is expected that up to $ 60 million in grants from the fund will go to decentralized stock exchanges that can be used as liquidity premiums.

The Liquid Staking platform without custody Stader Labs has received an unauthorized amount among other developers.

Liquid Staking enables defined assets to be used as security for loans, Yield Farming and other defi options (decentralized finances), while users can continue to collect rewards.

Stader will try to create a "safer" decentralized staking infrastructure that "further develops" the proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, said the foundation.

"Our goal is to bring the Defi-Ekosystem to Hedera so that users can benefit from the size and low costs," said Shayne Higdon, CEO of the HBAR Foundation. "This cost, performance and circumferential level is crucial, as more and more institutions and consumers are coming to Hedera to spend tokens, exchange assets and to participate in the crypto economy."

hashgraph uses a directed acyclic graph (DAG) structure, which, according to the foundation, increases transaction speed and efficiency if more transactions are added to the network. Hedera processes around 2.6 million transactions per day with transaction periods of about 5 seconds.

other protocols that use a DAG as a distributed ledger of choice instead of a Blockchain are IOTA, NANO and FANTOM.
