ENS Foundation keeps director after DAO vote on controversial tweet

- Director of Operations, Brantly Millegan, has retained his position in the Ethereum Name Service
- The vote follows a month of the debate and consideration by the community about whether Millegan should be booted for comments from 2015
The manager of the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), Brantly Millegan, was again included in the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) after a month of the community's debate about controversial comments that he had made in 2015.
According to a snapshot of the delegates' coordination, which ended on Sunday, Millegan has won the right to keep his seat as operations manager with a margin of 5.88 %. When voting on Millegans's dismissal, 1.4 million votes were submitted to his departure.
The DAO vote was based on a token, one voice and not one person per voice. Millegan, who holds the majority of the native tokens of the DAO, was able to vote against his repression, while Ens founder Nick Johnson made the decision to contain the voice.
"The DAO decides whether Brantly Millegan is able to continue his role as director of the foundation company and appoint a suitable replacement if it is considered unable", is a section of the snapshot vote.
Johnson initially took part in Twitter. href = "https://twitter.com/nicksdjohnson/status/149633533569?s=20&t=ftqvnzyj_bujpmv85-l6lq"> defend Millegan and assisted the director to convey his message to his audience after a ban against him by the social media platform.
The EnS founder finally gave up the public outcry and switched to End the contract by Millegan Names Limited-The Non-Profit Organization that finances the development of ENS organized.
last month broke out a controversy within the EnS community after a more than 5-year-old tweet from Millegan had reappeared. Millegan was removed from his role as a municipal administrator shortly thereafter, although the vote on his directors' office had hung over him for more than a month.
Blockworks tried to contact Millegan in terms of the matter, but did not receive an answer until the time of going to press.
