In mid-April, the creator of the Bitcoin network, Satoshi Nakamoto, entered the list of the world's 20 richest billionaires, but after the price of Bitcoin fell, the inventor's fortune plummeted. This week, Nakamoto is once again among the 20 richest people in the world. Last time, Nakamoto ranked 19th, and this time the inventor of Bitcoin is now the 20th richest person(s) in the world.

6 months after Bitcoin's all-time high, Satoshi Nakamoto becomes the 20th richest person in the world

The leading crypto asset Bitcoin (BTC) has soared above the $60K mark and hit a high of $62,945 on Friday. Using today's exchange rate and the estimated Bitcoin supply that Satoshi Nakamoto claims to own, shows that the inventor of Bitcoin is the 16th richest person or persons in the world. The last time Bitcoin.com News reported on this subject, Nakamoto went from the 159th richest person in the world to the 19th in just five months. With today BTC Exchange rates as of October 17, 2021, six months later, Nakamoto is now the 20th richest person(s) in the world.

The reason why people assume that Satoshi Nakamoto has all this wealth is because the inventor of Bitcoin is estimated to have around 1 million BTC. Of course, there are lower estimates that say the inventor was only 750,000 has collected BTC and then cap estimates that assume Nakamoto has more than 1.1 million BTC. The crypto community in general believes that Nakamoto owns around 1 million Bitcoin and because he or she acquired it in the first of the year BTC ’s existence, the inventor also owns all the forks that are connected to the supply.

Between Bitcoin and 3 forks, Nakamoto has approximately $61 billion in unspent assets

This means that as of October 17, 2021, Nakamoto owns around $60.7 billion in Bitcoin ( BTC ), $625 million Bitcoin Cash (BCH), $169 million in Bitcoinsv (BSV), and $191 million in Ecash (formerly known as BCHA or Bitcoin ABC). That's a total of $60.9 billion between these four networks, putting the inventor of Bitcoin at 20th Forbes real-time billionaires list. Satoshi Nakamoto is more than the net worth of Chinese billionaire Zhang Yiming. However, Nakamoto's wealth is among the 19th richest in the world, as Walmart's Rob Walton owns around $75.3 billion.

What is quite amazing is that one of the 20 richest people in the world is the mysterious inventor of Bitcoin. A person or group of people who have not yet spent a single penny of the $60.9 billion worth of crypto assets. Some people assume that Nakamoto may have died, and therefore the inventor never and will never spend the stash of 1 million coins he collected when the creator died BTC Network. However, Nakamoto may still be alive and may still have access to these riches.

The inventor of Bitcoin has yet to catch up with the two richest people in the world, including Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, respectively. According to Forbes real-time billionaires list, today Musk has a fortune of around $214.8 billion and Jeff Bezos has around $197.8 billion. To overtake Musk's net worth, a single BTC must be valued at over $215,000 per unit. If BTC Hitting $100,000 this year, the inventor of Bitcoin will join Warren Buffet and Mukesh Ambani in the top 10 richest people.
