The Downdetector failure monitoring website has received reports from thousands of users who claim that Twitter failures have occurred in the last 24 hours. France, the United Kingdom, Germany as well as the East and West coast of the United States, seem particularly affected.
Elon Musk has not explained what led to these problems. However, he mentioned that the Twitter data was "looted" so much that the service was affected for the users. Some speculate that the so-called "data scraping" could be responsible for this through chatbots with artificial intelligence like GPT-4 from Openaai.
