25 % of the US-growing planning to invest in crypto, the survey shows-featured

A US consumer survey shows that 25 % of those surveyed who currently have no cryptocurrency are planning to invest in crypto. "2021 was a good year for crypto. Of the respondents who own crypto, more than half stated that they had only started to invest in the area last year."

The cryptocurrency exchange Huobi published a report on Thursday entitled "Crypto Perception Report 2022". The report contains "an in -depth survey to find out how the average person sees cryptocurrencies, which she thinks about emerging trends and whether she plans to invest in this area in the future," said the company.

A total of 3,144 US adults aged 18 and over, 47 % of which were men.

"The crypto industry experienced a mainstream growth in 2021, but it is still a niche issue for most people," says the report and explains:

2021 was a good year for crypto. Of the respondents who own crypto, more than half stated that they had only started to invest in the area last year.

According to the results, "47 % of those surveyed say that they do not have a crypto and do not plan it" and "around 28 % of the respondents state that they currently have crypto". The report adds:

25 % say that they currently do not have crypto, but are planning this in the future, which points out that they are still curious about the emerging field.

When asked how they think about the future of the crypto industry, they were 42 %, they were ambivalent and did not know much about it, while 23 % said they were not confident and think, "everything is a fraud/bubble and will collapse." Meanwhile, 19 % believe that the crypto industry will change the definition of money, and 16 % that it will grow, but not a lot.

As for the investment in cryptocurrency, 40 % chose "longer investment potential" as an answer, 27 % chose "general interest" and 18 % stated "short -term investment potential".

In the meantime, the sectors that consider crypto investors to be the most promising are not fungal tokens (NFTS) and decentralized finances (defi)-both were selected by 37 % of those surveyed. The third most promising area is the meta verse that is chosen by 36 % of those surveyed.
