REX Shares launches first Dogecoin and XRP ETFs on US exchange!

On Thursday, October 10, 2025, REX Shares launched the first US ETFs that directly track the price of Dogecoin (DOGE) and XRP. These products, known as REX-Osprey DOGE ETF and REX-Osprey XRP ETF, were listed on the Cboe exchange under the ticker symbols DOJE and XRPR. This innovation represents a significant step in the cryptocurrency space as ETFs allow investors to access the underlying assets, whether directly or through related products, through traditional brokerage accounts FXStreet.

The launch of the REX-Osprey ETFs was announced in a filing with the SEC last week. These products are part of a broader plan from REX Shares, having already launched a Solana ETF that provides access to the price of SOL. According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, the DOGE ETF could reach up to $2.5 million in trading volume on its first day of trading, indicating strong investor interest.

Regulatory developments and competitors

The ETFs were filed under the Investment Company Act of 1940, which represents a departure from the usual practice of applicants who typically file under the Securities Act of 1933. This could give REX Shares an edge in approval, especially in a market where many other firms—including Grayscale, 21Shares, Bitwise, and ProShares—are already pursuing similar Dogecoin and XRP ETFs.

In recent months, the SEC has postponed decisions on several ETF applications, but has approved generic listing standards for spot-based trust shares and ETFs. These new standards could shorten approval periods from the current 240 days to 75 days.

Market development and current prices

Currently, XRP is trading at a price of $3.10 and DOGE is trading at $0.282. In the last 24 hours, both cryptocurrencies recorded gains of over 2% and 3% respectively, further fueling interest in the market. These developments could bring new impetus to investors and traders looking to enter this volatile market.
