US authorities examine suspicious Alameda, SBF Wallet transfers: Report
Although the unfavorable founder of FTX and Alameda Research is currently under strict rules on the deposit, there were several suspicious transmissions of crypto-assets from Wallets that were connected to him or his former empire.
Although all connections have been refuted, Bloomberg reported that the US authorities are planning to examine the matter.
- Cryptopotato reported last week when several Alameda wallets (marked on Etherscan as such) began to move ERC-20 tokens and bridge them to BTC. The assets included YFI, Aave and Weth.
- Bankman-Fried, which was currently released for a deposit of $ 250 million and lives in his parents' house, broke his three-week Twitter and claimed that he had nothing to do with these transfers.
- He said he had no access to these accounts : :
"I think it is likely that different legitimate branches from FTX have the opportunity to access these means; hopefully this happens here. If not, hopefully someone will intervene soon. I would like to help the regulatory authorities advise in this regard if this is desired."
- According to Bloomberg, these suspicious price movements have attracted the attention of the US public prosecutor and plan to initiate an examination.
- Just a few days after the transfers mentioned above, there were further allegations that claimed that SBF made new ones, in which he ultimately paid out crypto worth almost $ 700,000. Remember that he said that after the bankruptcy registration he left only $ 100,000 on his bank account, and the court decision is strictly prohibited him from operating with such considerable amounts.
- The Bloomberg report only seems to be concentrated on the Alameda-related transfers, and SBF has not yet commented on the others.
