So plans sushiswap to reimburse users after a 3.3 million dollar hack
The decentralized stock exchange (Dex) Sushiswap based on Ethereum has published an update about your plans at the weekend to return stolen funds to users affected by the 3.3 million-exploit.
according to a Announcement From the official Twitter handle of the stock exchange shows that users whose assets were stolen from White Hat Security teams are faster than those who have lost their to the Black Hat Hackers.
The 3.3 million dollar sushiswap-hack
Remember that the popular decentralized stock exchange on Sunday, April 9, was exploited by its approval contract. The compromised smart contract called Routerprocessor2 was used to carry out the trade routing on the platform.
as cryptopotato registered lost sushiswap 1,800 ether (ETH)-token worth around 3.3 million US dollars, and they were withdrawn from a single user named @0xsifu.
When the error was discovered, Sushiswap Whitehat Security teams used that secured funds from the addresses concerned. The protocol also instructed users whose addresses were susceptible to the exploited contract to revoke the approval immediately in order to avoid further losses.
While the Dex was working on the solution to the problem, the blockchain security company Blocksec unveiled one of the transactions Hackers blocked and saved 100 ETH worth $ 186,000. The security company said its system immediately recognized the attack and her team had moved up for rescue.
sushiswap has updated its web app, remedied the error and asked the users to continue their normal activities. The protocol found that retailers who had not interacted with the stock exchange in the past ten days were certain because the contract used is less than ten days old.
sushiswap to compensate users
for users whose funds are in the Whitehat address, Sushiswap announced that they would receive their assets through a Merkle Claim contract that should soon go into operation.
The sushi team continued announced that users affected by the Blackhat hackers either send an email to the protocol or have to open a ticket in the official discord channel with information about the transaction IDS and blockchain data of the lost funds.
The protocol will set up an opt-in claim process to manage the claims from case to case. The stock exchange will later publish detailed steps for the process.
Our goal is to repay all user money to authorized applicants. We appreciate the patience of everyone and understand their frustration while we are working on repaying funds to affected users
