The developers of Shiba Inu announced that the public beta platform of Shibarium will be started at some point this week.

The plan for the Layer 2 platform was first presented in January of this year. It was seen as an important step for the Shiba-Inu ecosystem, from a mere Memecoin to a possibility for the Shib community, to access faster and cheaper transactions, with increased scalability and improved security. The team that supports the token revealed the construction of Shibarium on the Ethereum network.

  • As stated in his introductory blog, the Layer 2 blockchain protocols from Shibarium intend to open up metavers, web3 innovation and games. The team had previously advertised the opportunity to go outside the chain for more private transactions to attract more users.
  • It is expected that the publication of Shibarium will increase the acceptance of the Shib token and strengthen its position as a more serious project. The senior developer Shytoshi Kusama recently said:
