Sega could drop NFT experiments if it is perceived by players as a gun-Games

Sega, a leading video game development company, has announced its new attitude in terms of the play-to-earn model and the inclusion of NFTs in its games. In the last board meeting of the company, which took place on December 24th, Sega-CEO Haruki Satomi explained that the company could hire its current experiments in the NFT area if the players see the topic negatively.

Sega CEO announces that companies could give up NFT plans

The CEO of Sega, Haruki Satomi, pointed out the possible attitude of the company in relation to NFTS and the Play-to-ear movement in the future. At the last Sega-Management Meeting, which took place on December 24th, Satomi talked on the subject and explained that the company could stop the experiments it did to include these new technologies in traditional gambling.

When asked about Sega's opinion about Play-to-Earn technologies, Satomi:

We would like to try out different experiments and have already started many different studies and considerations, but nothing has yet been decided with regard to P2E. There have already been many announcements, also in overseas, but there are users who show negative reactions at this point.

The executive continued that Sega would consider to give up these actions if the players perceive this as money earners.

Metaverse-foreing

Satomi also dealt with the topic of the meta verse and explained that a meta verse is a place for him where people gather and come about. With regard to the current enthusiasm that the word created, however, he found that not every game with meta-verse elements is a metaverse and that the game industry should concentrate on the development of high-quality games instead of meta-seven experiences.

he expanded these ideas and explained:

We want to make Super Game a game that supports global and cross -platform functions with a network and a community. If such a game contains a competitive element called PvP, it could become an e-sport. In addition, it could become a metaverse if it has tens of million downloads worldwide and a certain number of active users.

Sega is another gaming company that deals with NFTS. The company announced in April with the sale of NFTS based on its intellectual property, which was badly accepted at the gaming community. Other traditional gaming companies such as Ubisoft and GSC Game World also have this type of Break Activities that include blockchain and related technologies.
