Welcome to Latam Insights, its compendium of the most relevant crypto and economic news from Latin America last week. Libras 'misleading start' is about a crime action

la Libertad Avanza, better known as the Libra token, faces the first class action in the USA. Burwick Law recently announced that this lawsuit be submitted to the Supreme Court of New York. The lawsuit claims that the parties behind the token have orchestrated an unfair token launch, which allegedly led the buyer and damaged small investors.

Although the lawsuit of President Javier Milei's support as crucial for creating an appearance of "legitimacy and significant investment value" for Libra, he is not directly accused of facilitating the alleged scheme. The sister of Milei, Karina Milei, also mentioned, is not mentioned. Nevertheless, other parties associated with Libra are listed as a defendant in the complaint.

wages paid in Bitcoin? A draft law in Brazil could enable

A new bill that was brought in in Brazilian Congress aims to regulate the payment of wages and other work -related obligations in Bitcoin. The draft law entitled "Regulation of the payment of salaries, remuneration and working advantages with the use of virtual assets" enables workers to legally receive part of their salary in Bitcoin or another virtual asset.

The bill introduced by Luiz Philippe de Orleans e Bragança must be checked and recognized by the House of Representatives before he reaches the Senate. In the event of adoption, workers could receive up to 50 % of their wages in Bitcoin, provided that there is mutual approval of workers and employers. The value of the assets must be certified by a position authorized by the central bank.

Venezuelan minister expresses that 25 % of trade can be handled without US dollars

International trading markets are increasingly developing to expand their opportunities for the use of currencies beyond the US dollar. This opinion is represented by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil, who highlighted the trade changes that a multipolar world brings with regard to international accounting.

In a recently published article on the 80th anniversary of international relationships with Russia, Gil found that this development was possible through the rise of Brics block, an organization from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, and its advance for Desdollarization. Gil explained:

"At least 25 % of the global trade operations can be carried out without being bound to the dollar, which will be a significant step towards greater financial independence from sanctioned countries."

These developments could have far -reaching effects on future trade relationships and the role of cryptocurrencies in the Latin America economy.
