President of Mexico denies interest in the introduction of Bitcoin as a legal means of payment -

The Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador contested any interest in the introduction of cryptocurrencies as a legal means of payment in the country. The explanations that were submitted in a press conference in the national palace this week also confirmed that the Mexican government will continue to treat the country's financial matters in traditional and orthodox ways.

The Mexican President commented on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies at the beginning of this week. In a press conference offered in the national palace, Lopez Obrador is interested in the introduction of Bitcoin as a legal means of payment, because El Salvador tat earlier this year. When asked by a journalist on this topic, he said:
No. We won't change that. We consider it appropriate to maintain orthodoxy when managing finances. We will not try to innovate a lot in the financial system.
The statements serve to continue the previous attitude of Mexico for cryptocurrencies. Instead, Lopez Obrador explained that they would pay special attention to the tax situation in the country to ensure that tax collection is normal without tax evasion.

Problems with crypto
The current government of Mexico has a negative relationship with cryptocurrencies. The President of the Bank of Mexico, Alejandro Diaz, in September due to its volatility was money or a good value preservation. Also Finance Minister Arturo Herrera that cryptocurrencies not in the country's financial system could be used "to maintain a healthy distance between you and the financial system".
However, this has not prevented people from learning crypto and taking up in their investment portfolios and business. One of the richest men in the country, Ricardo Salinas, indicated banco Azteca, his bank, worked on being the first Bitcoin in the country. In fact, these statements prompted the finance minister to make it clear that cryptocurrencies, as already explained, have to exist separately from the traditional financial system.
In September, Salinas, who is also the owner of Elektra, has one of the largest retail companies in Mexico, indicated when introducing Bitcoin payments in your shops with the Lightning Network, a protocol of the second layer, enables transactions with lower fees.
