New crypto and blockchain association started in Iran- news

A recently founded association of the crypto industry in Iran has started its activities as part of the country's Chamber of Commerce. Management hopes to eliminate obstacles that challenge its members and at the same time facilitate the implementation of blockchain technology in the sanctioned nation.

Industrial Association for Managing the Challenges related to Blockchain in Iran

The newly founded Iran Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Association (IBCA) has its business under the supervision of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mining and Agriculture (ICCIMA), reported the English -language business newspaper Financial Tribune. According to the publication, the IBCA is the first organization attached to the chamber to deal with the challenges of the growing blockchain ecosystem of Iran.

The start was announced by Mohammad Reza Sharafi, board member of the association, who expressed hope that the IBCA would be able to use hurdles for companies in the crypto room and to use blockchain technology in the interest of the Iranian economy. In conversation with the Way2Pay website portal, Sharafi also performed:

In connection with the development of innovative technology in Iran, there are a variety of topics. Concerted efforts were made to maximize the benefits of this sector for the economy ... We have to work closely together to ensure the use of the potential of technology without monopolizing it.

The representative of the organization added that the ICCIMA granted permission to found the new group last year. However, the start was delayed for various reasons, not least because of the change of government in Tehran. Mohammad Sharafi is convinced that the work under the supervision of the Chamber offers opportunities to address the central challenges of the sector, in particular regulation.

A previously active industry organization, the Iran Blockchain Association (IBA), was founded in 2017 as a non -profit, self -managed company of entrepreneurs, experts and activists who are involved in the development of the rapidly growing technology. IBA had its activities in June this year by the Interior Ministry due to alleged violation of its own statute.

The step took place after the Iranian legislator Rahim Zare had accused non-regulation crypto organizations of transferring foreign currency funds outside the Islamic Republic. The IBA rejected these claims that had not been supported by any evidence.

The crypto room of Iran remains largely unregulated. In April the central bank of Iran ( cbi ) authorizes domestic banks and money changers to use imports to pay into the sank, but Authorities have followed Coin trade and crypto payments in the country.

Restrictions on the trade in cryptocurrencies would take Iran chances, local fintech companies warned At the beginning of this year he commented against the attempts by the government to contain the operation of the exchange of digital assets. crypto mining is currently the strongest regulated sector since Tehran 2019 recognized as legal industrial activity.
