New crypto and blockchain association started in Iran- news
A recently founded association of the crypto industry in Iran has started its activities as part of the country's Chamber of Commerce. The newly founded Iran Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Association (IBCA) has its business under the supervision of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mining and Agriculture (ICCIMA), reported the English -language business newspaper Financial Tribune. According to the publication, the IBCA is the first organization attached to the chamber to deal with the challenges of the growing blockchain ecosystem of Iran.
The start was announced by Mohammad Reza Sharafi, board member of the association, who expressed hope that the IBCA would be able to use hurdles for companies in the crypto room and to use blockchain technology in the interest of the Iranian economy. The representative of the organization added that the ICCIMA granted permission to found the new group last year. However, the start was delayed for various reasons, not least because of the change of government in Tehran. Mohammad Sharafi is convinced that the work under the supervision of the Chamber offers opportunities to address the central challenges of the sector, in particular regulation.
A previously active industry organization, the Iran Blockchain Association (IBA), was founded in 2017 as a non -profit, self -managed company of entrepreneurs, experts and activists who are involved in the development of the rapidly growing technology. IBA had its activities in June this year by the Interior Ministry due to alleged violation of its own statute.
