Cryptocurrency: Crypto platform Poly Network says that chopped funds have been returned

Hong Kong: The Cryptocurrency platform Poly Network said on Monday that almost all of the $ 610 million that were stolen in one of the greatest crypto robberies this month have now been returned by the unknown persons who were behind the attack.

In a Twitter contribution, Poly Network said that control over all assets regained control with the exception of the StableCoinTher in the amount of $ 33 million, which was frozen by the company that was managed. The network said it was in conversations with Tether about the thawing of these funds.

The hackers had previously said that they had had the attack for fun to uncover a weak point in the digital contracts of the platform, and it was always their plan to return the tokens. Some blockchain analysts have speculated that they found it too difficult to wash so much stolen cryptocurrency.

Poly Network, a less well-known name in the world of cryptography, is a decentralized financial platform (Defi) that enables peer-to-peer transactions with a focus on the fact that users can transmit or replace token over different blockchains.

Poly Network announced the hack on August 10, but said that the perpetrators had started returning the digital coins the next day. The network also offered the hackers a “bug bounty” of $ 500,000.
