Interview with product manager Mayur Kamat

Cryptopotato had the opportunity to speak to Mayur Kamat - the Head of Product at the world's leading stock exchange.

Kamat revealed that in 2022 there was a year in which some bad actors have thrown back the exchange of users' trust, but they have nevertheless managed to integrate many new users, companies and governments on Web 3.

When he spoke about corporate culture, he said that Binance is very practical, with CZ and other founders work personally on some individual products.

f1: Can you please tell us more about your background and when did you come across cryptocurrencies?

I'm pretty new in Krypto. Only started after I had an interview with Binance. I've always been fascinated by the industry and its potential, but like many others, I also had a healthy skepticism about some aspects. I decided that the best way to know how to change the world is to do it, so I'm here.

Your experience includes working at Tech heavy weights such as Google, Microsoft, Agoda and others. How do you create such a radical changeover to the relatively young crypto industry?

construction products are not very different across industries. We still have to concentrate on the user experience, find the suitability for the product market, improve onboarding, examine the commitment and binding of users, build up great platforms for users to inform, engage and communicate them, and last but not least trust and security. These are just as important in Web3, I would even say more. Hopefully my experience in some of the large technology companies will give our already excellent products some ripe.

At a personal level, it was a fantastic educational experience for me. Binance is also a very practical culture. CZ, YI and other founders work personally on some individual products, so all managers at Binance are expected to be in detail and that our users are always innovative. It's always fun to build products yourself!

2022 was a wild ride. Can you call us the heights and depths of the year as Head of Product for the Binance Ecosystem?

Höhen - assumption. In 2022 we brought many users, companies and governments to web 3.

Low points - a few bad actors who throw back users' trust.

if you had to take a main thing with you from 2022 - which one would that be?

Always do the right thing for the user. It is not always easy and you are not always recognized or appreciated for it. But it will always win in the long term. If you lose sight of this and chase up short -term goals/win, it will finally catch up with it.

What was the biggest product that Binance released in 2022 in terms of the effects on customers?

I would call 3:

• compliance/regulatory products for the onboarding of users
• Binance Pay and his work in promoting the acceptance of crypto payments
• Binance Earn and how easy it is for users to achieve passive income with their crypto investments.

What is the bony product that you (personally) look forward to?

I'm really looking forward to SBTS - Binance Bab Token has already received a massive acceptance. The concept of identity on Chain was discussed for a long time, but was always hypothetical. It works with BAB! Identity is a key problem that has to be solved for mass acceptance (see what the Google/Facebook registration for Web2 did). If we can solve this for Web3, we will speed up the introduction.

You have combined the products flexible savings, locked savings and locked staking into a one-stop platform called Simple Earn. Renda -regenerating products were massively examined in 2022. Did you feel the effects?

I'll say what I said before. Make it right to the users. Always. As long as we do that, our products will be fine. With Simple Earn we made it easy for users to stake their cryptocurrencies. We do not offer crazy, not sustainable returns. It may seem less attractive to us for some users, but generally understand and appreciate healthy investors. And that will arrive in the long term.

departure into 2023: What can we expect from Binance?

Many other product innovations! CZ asked us to launch a new product/feature every day. We will see how well we can do.

maybe a little out of the blue, but - what is it like to work with CZ?

CZ is different from any manager for whom I have worked. First, he is connected to the community. He is so closely connected that he sometimes knows about product problems before me (something I work on!). Second, it is extremely modest and in detail. He will personally work on some of our important products, which keeps all the product managers busy. He also lives and breathes the Binance mission of financial freedom and inclusion. We develop products for users in over 200 countries, not just for those who bring us more sales. This makes construction products more sensible and more worthwhile!
