Shiba Inu improves security: New network for Shibarium launched!
On November 2, 2025, the Shiba Inu team announced an important security improvement for Shibarium to increase the decentralization and stability of the platform. This improvement is called Shibarium RPC Migration Network and is currently being implemented. With this update, the old public RPC connection point for Shibarium will be shut down within the next two weeks, ending access via the previous URL.
Users and developers will need to update their settings to access the new RPC connection. The aim of the update is to build a stronger and more distributed network that ensures long-term reliability.
Security incident and new measures
In September, Shibarium experienced a security incident that temporarily paused the network due to a compromised validator key. This attack included a short-lived buff from a delegation of 4.6 million BONE. In response to the incident, the Plasma Bridge was restored for BONE, enabling bridging between Ethereum and Shibarium.
In addition, new security measures have been introduced. This includes blacklisting malicious addresses and a seven-day withdrawal delay to protect the network and increase user security.
