The American retailer for video games, entertainment electronics and game articles, games, according to a new job advertisement, is looking for a non-fungable token (NFT)-focused senior software engineer. Similar to the latest job advertisement by the social media service provider Reddit, the retail giant Gamestop seems to build an NFT marketplace.

On October 25, the Gamestop company unit, a retail chain for video toys and consumer electronics, released a job advertisement in which a senior software engineer is looking for a possible NFT platform. If it is hired, the candidate will join the "NFT/Blockchain team" from Gamestop.

"Gamestop is looking for a senior software engineer for our NFT/blockchain team," according to the company Job offers Notes. "This role will be a remote and work together with a team of engineers, product managers, designers and business partners in the USA and functions that inspire millions of gamestop customers."

GAMESTOP is not only known for the video gap shops that the company operates, but the recent Wallstreetbets fiasco has moved the company into the spotlight. Wall Street hedge funds supposedly tried to sell the company's shares in empty, and Reddit users from the Wallstreetbets-Subreddit tries to trend with a "Short Squeeze" to reverse. Gamestop and numerous other companies such as AMC made headlines this year and recorded a significant increase in their shares compared to the Wallstreetbets-Fiasko .

The current job advertisement for NFT/Blockchain-team members from Gamestop was a Topic in the Reddit Forum R/Cryptocurrency during the last two days. "This is one of the best job advertisements that I have seen for some time," wrote one person on Reddit. "Very clear in terms of expectations and requirements are useful (and [are not] artificially inflated) with scope. You have no degree, but know your way around?

The job advertisement from Gamestop follows a Similar NFT position from the company Reddit, Published last week. The American social news aggregation and discussion website Reddit is looking for a senior software engineer for a platform that offers "NFT-supported digital goods".

The job requirements of Gamestop are similar to those of the Reddit list, but Gamestop wants the potential employee to know about crypto and NFTS. "NFT marketplace experience and knowledge of crypto, Ethereum and Ethereum Layer 2 products" is a prerequisite in the games list.
