The World Economic Forum (WEF) has published an article that predicts how metaversum technology develops and how it is introduced in different sectors. For the organization, the greatest effects of implementing this technology are observed in industrial environments, where it will help to perform more tasks and reduce costs.
The WEF believes that meta-verse tech will first influence the industry
The World Economic Forum (WEF) believes that the meta verses are first used in industrial environments instead of being first accepted by consumers. In an article on January 13, the organization predicts that the implementation of the meta verses is initially at industrial will be more efficient to help different companies to help design and monitoring tasks.
Two of the meta-verse technologies that become an essential component in this new phase for the industry are digital twins and expanded reality. The implementation of digital twins, the digitization of a group of elements from the real world, makes it possible to test the functionality of an element, to examine the possible inefficiencies of a assembly line or simply create a prototype of a model without having to build it physically
Extended Reality, another of the technologies mentioned in the article, will enable designers to mix elements from the real world with digital elements to examine the interactions between the two.
These technologies are already taken over by several companies, including the car manufacturer Renault Industrial metaverse in November with the aim of saving $ 330 million by implementing by 2025.
Consumer meta verse
While companies like Meta have invested billions in the sector, put a strong focus on consumer meta verses, the WEF believes that industries will be the ones that will drive innovations.

We will develop many technologies for industrial meta-verses that will find their way into consumer meta verses-from microoptics and advanced haptic interfaces to AI sensitivity.
The organization believes that as soon as these two different meta verse are furnished, one can improve the other and vice versa. However, it is recommended to shift the focus from the shift of resources to consumer meta verses to industrial metavers, which is already happening in different sectors.
