10 years later - massive profits

2022 proved to be one of the worst years for Bitcoin in terms of price development, since the entire industry in the middle of massive collapse deteriorated. It all started with the implosion of the Terra ecosystem in the middle of the year, followed by numerous bankruptcy applications from companies that were exposed to Luna and VAT.

The sector finally started to relax at the end of the year when the FTX broke even more spectacular. As one of the giants in the field until November, the infection spread malignant, and the wave effects were felt almost everywhere.

When we concentrate on Bitcoin again, it crashed under $ 16,000 for the first time in about two years. Only as a reference, it was traded over $ 46,000 on January 1, 2022. As such, it ended with a decline of 65 % last year, although it added about a giant until the end.

The first week of the new year was a bit similar, with BTC calm under $ 17,000. On January 9, however, the asset finally broke over this coveted line and has never looked back since then. On the contrary, he rose in double digits and reached a 5-month high last weekend at $ 24,000. Although Bitcoin lost some value in the next two days, Bitcoin still managed to close the month at around $ 23,000 - an increase of 39.66 %, according to Coinglass.

He has been January with the best performance since 2013 when he skyrocketed by 44 %. Overall, past January was the best month for BTC since October 2021 (39.93 %).

what about February?

Since February is already there, it is interesting to see what the story of BTC's performance tells us this month. As the picture above shows, it has been very positive for the cryptocurrency since Coinglass has been performing records (2013).

In fact, 10 years ago, February with an overwhelming price increase of 61.77 % was the best, followed by 2021 (36.78 %). Only 2014 (-31.03 %) and 2020 (-8.6 %) Bitcoin ended the month with a lower price rating than at the beginning.
