Krypto exchange Binance starts a new stock exchange in Thailand after the country's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a complaint against the company for operation without a license. Binance has now signed an agreement with Gulf Energy Development, a Thai stock corporation, to found a crypto exchange in Thailand.

Gulf Energy Development, a Thai stock corporation, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announced on Monday that its 100 % subsidiary Gulf Innova has concluded a declaration of intent with the Binance Group, "to investigate ways for the development of the exchange of digital assets and more connected business in Thailand."

The company added that it "a quick growth of the digital infrastructure in Thailand, since the economy is increasingly driven by innovation and technology, with digital assets and related technologies playing an outstanding role in improving the efficiency of the financial infrastructure in the country to meet the increasing demand."

Therefore, the company's partnership with Binance Thailand will help to promote its development of digital assets and blockchain infrastructures.

Binance recently got into difficulties with the Thai Sec. The securities supervision announced in July last year that the economic criminality suppression department of Royal Thai Police (ECD) "submitted a criminal complaint against Binance".

According to the Sec Outd Binance, a crypto exchange business without a license, so the company can be “sanctioned under criminal law”.
