An important initiative to bring data currency to emerging markets

Cook Islands, October 13, 2021 – Blockchain-based data ownership initiative Cirus Foundation has released further information about its strategic agreement with D-VoiS. Following the previous announcement of the scope of the agreement, Cirus has also announced that the contract includes deployment to serve one million households in the broader Indian market, with an average of five members per household, with an initial total number of up to five million users.

The initiative is a strategic plan to build a closer relationship with D-VoiS in the medium to long term and was formulated as Cirus completed sandbox testing of the device to determine the quality and richness of the data collected.

The full Cirus ecosystem experience consists of a virtual platform that allows homeowners to connect with a web browser extension and enable data monetization. The Cirus device, which replaces a standard WiFi router, will be an add-on to the platform, creating a rich first-party data asset and ultimately generating more revenue for the homeowner.

D-VoiS recognizes the importance of synergy between platform and device and will develop a deployment strategy accordingly. The homeowner can engage with the Cirus ecosystem, enjoy the platform-based online experience, and then complement the Cirus device in deployment. The entire scope of the deal is to establish a new paradigm of homeowners generating revenue from their data. The multifaceted software-plus-hardware approach creates the means to achieve this in less time.

The overall goal is to make it easier for homeowners to effectively use their data transfers in the Foundation's evolving products, such as the Cirus Wallet. D-VoiS is a critical component of the strategy as its large user base allows the Foundation to achieve monetization across the big data platforms.
